Everything becomes exciting and informative when you have to move from Excel to PowerPoint by your side in your works like small businesses, freelancing, and education.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought so many changes into our lives. Every department has seen significant changes during this crucial time. But guess what? We have learnt to live with the new normal. Let’s see how both of these tools have proved very beneficial in our work, especially during Pandemic when everything is functioning online.

Benefits of MS Excel in Work-

  1. Using Pivot Tables- Pivot Tables is a fantastic feature that many businesses, financial analysts, marketers, etc., have been using lately. The pivot tables are used in large tables to sort, count total or average data in a large table and display them in a new table. During this pandemic, you need to look at your sales figures, product lines, marketing channels, etc., and thus, this has to be the best thing for efficiently sorting out your data.
  1. INDEX-MATCH- The combination is compelling in MS Excel. The index match feature looks for your team members value and returns the desired information that must be unique such as email or the staff numbers in that table. This feature has increased productivity because instead of scrolling for any data and information you need, the INDEX-MATCH enables you to find only the data and information you require that must be unique, such as e-mail or staff numbers. Due to the increase in work during the pandemic, we have started looking for shortcuts, which has proven to be flexible and straightforward to increase productivity in work.
  1. Filters- The most useful function in Excel that proves MS Excel is very beneficial is this one. You can quickly explore the data in a table after filtering the data, not of interest. At work, filtering out information is a significant task. Let’s suppose you’re running a business, and you need to know the total number of products in your warehouse that is not sold out. Imagine having a column in your sheet mentioning your products labelled as sold or not sold. Apply filter on that column and choose the option of not sold. You will automatically get the data list for the products that did not sell, so the data for the sold items get automatically hidden.

Benefits of PowerPoint in Work-

  1. Designing- Covid has made us all creative, and the trend of customisations is rocking during this time. Simply sitting at home, people want to be more productive and resourceful; MS PowerPoint design features come into action.  PowerPoint gives a set of preloaded themes to you so that you can choose your favourite. The templates are full of colour change features to complete format layouts along with the font text. There is an option of applying a theme displayed on a whole presentation or even on a single slide to make your presentation look more trendy and engaging.

  1. Animation- Animations are the fantastic future of PowerPoint presentations. Imagine having extra time to prepare a beautiful display with magical animations. Yes, work from home has benefited you by utilising your time in productivity and creating magic. Add Animations between the slide transitions and element animation. You can use the transition effect and timing to apply a transition between the PowerPoint slides. Element animation as well adds movement and sounds to the objects on your slide presentation. When you construct a gallery of photos, you can choose which pictures enter the slides first, how they enter and which sound should be played.
